Tough Toy Pros Review
Okay, okay, when are we going to give up on this ridiculous search for a strong plush dog toy that aggressive chewers can’t tear apart in 35 seconds? If we’d done so before now, we could’ve saved the few bucks we wasted on the Outward Hound Invincibles Gecko.
At least I have the consolation that it was cheap.
As you can see from the picture, willie just went straight for the center, gutted the thing, and tore the squeakers right out.
Granted, the Outward Hound Invincibles plush gecko is large, so size-wise, you get bang for your buck. And it’s soft and cuddly, so if you have one of those soft and cuddly-type dogs, this gecko
is going to be right up your alley.
The squeakers are ginormous! And they are really loud. They are really the nicest squeakers I think I’ve ever seen. It’s just too bad I saw them, you know? It’d been a lot better if they’d stayed in the toy where they were supposed to stay. For all its reinforced edging and Dura Tuff yada yada yada, this toy might as well have been a rag doll.
Did you see the squeakers on this thing? It’s like I could see right through it when I got it. It’s like the cloth wasn’t even there and it was just me and them squeakers, one to one – wait, except there was
two of them – right up close and personal. I just didn’t waste any time getting right to them.

Dogs who want to are able to chew this toy apart quickly, sometimes in as little as five or 30 minutes. They can remove the squeakers, or the squeakers quit working too soon. When the squeakers do work, they are so loud they annoy people. People are upset that the word “invincible” is in the toy’s name, but the toys are not invincible at all.
Nearly half of Amazon reviewers give this toy five stars. When people love it, they really love it. A reviewer with 9 labrador and pointer dogs says the snake toy of this brand holds up for a lengthy period of time through tug-of-war sessions. Tough fabric, very durable, nearly invincible and large squeakers are compliments it receives. It has lasted months, and up to a year in at least one case, with dogs who like to chew a lot. It is lightweight, and dogs enjoy throwing it around.
This is a good toy for a bit of fun if you dog likes to play with toys. Even so, don’t expect it to last forever. It won’t even last a long time. But dogs do seem to enjoy it, and it is relatively inexpensive.
